The box office officially opens today for the World Premiere of School of Rock - The Musical at the Winter Garden Theatre (1634 Broadway). Previews will begin on Monday, November 9, 2015, with an opening set for Sunday, December 6, 2015. Andrew Lloyd Webber announced today the complete cast for School of Rock - The Musical, which will have its World Premiere on Broadway.  Based on the smash hit 2003 film of the same title, School of Rock will feature music from the movie, as well as an original score by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Glenn Slater, with a book by Julian Fellowes and direction by Laurence Connor (currently represented on Broadway by Les Miserables). In a land not so far, far away, ShowKids Invitational Theatre (SKIT) brings SHREK THE MUSICAL from the swamp to the stage. Shrek is being presented today, April 26, at 7:30pm; Sunday, April 27, at 2:00pm; Friday, May 2, at 7:30pm; Saturday, May 3, at 2:00pm and 7:30pm; and Sunday, May 4, at 2:00pm. All six performances will take place in the Voorhees High School, Route 513, Glen Gardner, NJ.

The Most Miserable Christmas Tree, a new fun-filled family holiday musical with book and lyrics by Tim Sulka and Debra Barsha, music by Debra Barsha, will be presented in two (2) private industry readings at 2:00 and 6:00 p.m., on Monday, April 7, 2014, at Joria Studio (260 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor - between Broadway & 8th Ave.)

Leapin' Lizards! Just weeks after the Tony Award winning production closes on Broadway, NJACT Perry Award winning ShowKids Invitational Theatre (SKIT) brings beloved Annie to Jersey audiences. Annie is being presented on Saturday, January 25, at 7:30pm; Sunday, January 26, at 2:00pm; Friday, January 31, at 7:30pm; Saturday, February 1, at 2:00pm and 7:30pm; and Sunday, February 2, at 2:00pm. All six professional-quality performances will take place in the Voorhees High School Auditorium, Route 513, Lebanon Township. Tickets are still below $20, even for center orchestra seats, and can be purchased directly at www.showkids.org or by calling the SKIT ticket line at (908) 638-5959.

MATILDA THE MUSICAL, produced by The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers, is currently in previews at Broadway's Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street). The show has just announced its rush policy effective immediately: $27 student rush tickets for MATILDA THE MUSICAL will be available for Monday through Thursday performances (excluding Thursday, March 28 and Thursday, April 11, 2013). There will be a minimum of 20 tickets available per performance.

According to the Telegraph, the West End hit musical version of Roald Dahl's Matilda is undergoing some last-minute changes before it opens on Broadway in April. After several previews, some of the lyrics are being revised for American audiences.
