Alice Ripley prepares A CHRISTMAS MEMORY!

Off-Broadway's award-winning Irish Repertory Theatre presents this season's annual holiday offering. Tony Award winner Alice Ripley will lead the cast of the New York premiere of A CHRISTMAS MEMORY, a musical based on the classic Truman Capote short story.

Gingold Theatrical Group, under the leadership of Artistic Director David Staller, will present Shaw New York 2014, the annual Shaw-based festival in New York City, with events throughout December at The Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South) and Symphony Space (2537 Broadway at 95th Street). GTG is the company behind the popular monthly series, PROJECT SHAW.

The staged reading will be held today, October 30 at 3pm at the DR2 Theater, 103 East 15th Street, the Irish Repertory Theatre's temporary home during its current renovation. Marymount Manhattan College (MMC), a private liberal arts college on Manhattan's Upper East Side, is pleased to welcome author Tina Santi Flaherty on Sunday, October 26 at 2:00 p.m. Celebrating the commemorative edition of her book, What Jackie Taught Us, Mrs. Flaherty, a neighbor of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, will discuss “Five Things You May Not Know About Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.”

Broadway stars of The Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables Ciaran Sheehan and Gwen Eagleton will perform a one-night-only musical event From Galway to Broadway on Monday, October 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre. The concert will benefit The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's young artist education and training programs. Sheehan and Eagleton will perform a medley of Broadway standards, traditional Irish songs, and beloved pop tunes.

The concert will be held tonight, September 4th at 7:30 pm at The Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street). Meet Me At The Square will be the final performance in the space before the theatre begins its renovation.

PICT Classic Theatre's Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme, by Frank McGuinness, opens just about 100 years after the historical WWI events that are authentically portrayed in the performance. Running today, September 4, through September 20 at the Stephen Foster Memorial, the play, appropriate for ages 12+, leaves audiences with a better emotional understanding of events that changed the course of millions of lives and a sense of the surprising ways that WWI continues to shape the world today.

Prospect Theater Company will present The Underclassman, an original musical that explores F. Scott Fitzgerald's coming of age as a writer on the eve of World War I, and his first romance with the elusive debutante Ginevra King.
