Cate Ryan's IN THE SECRET SEA Begins Tonight at The Beckett Theatre on Theatre Row

Performances begin tonight for In The Secret Sea, a new American play by Cate Ryan (The Picture Box) and directed by Tony Award© winner Martin Charnin (Annie). The five-week-only limited engagement is set to open Thursday, April 21 at The Beckett Theatre on Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Sean Gormley & David Lansbury to Lead Reading of KING FISHERS CATCH FIRE at Irish Rep

The Irish Repertory Theatre, which 'encourages the development of works focusing on the Irish and Irish-American experience, and produces works of other cultures interpreted through the lens of an Irish sensibility,' continues the 10th season of the Irish Rep Reading Series.  A staged reading of Robin Glendinning's play King Fishers Catch Fire will be held on Friday, March 25, at 3pm EST at the DR2 Theater, (the Irish Repertory Theatre's temporary home during recent renovations).  The Irish Rep's literary manager, Kara Manning, will direct the reading. Tickets are FREE, and the event is open to the public.  An RSVP to 212-727-2737 is suggested.

Alley All New to Present RENT CONTROL, 3/28

Alley All New, a major new works initiative at the Alley Theatre, presents a special reading of Evan Zes' solo show Rent Control on Monday, March 28 at 7:00 p.m. in the Louisiana Room. Cast Announced for IN THE SECRET SEA Off-Broadway, Directed by Martin Charnin

Full casting was announced today for In The Secret Sea, a new American play by Cate Ryan (The Picture Box) and directed by Tony Award© winner Martin Charnin (Annie). The cast will feature Shelly Burch (original company of Nine, 'One Life to Live'), Paul Carlin (Temporal Powers at the Mint), Malachy Cleary (The Field at Irish Repertory Theatre), Glynnis O'Connor (TV's Our Town, 'The Boy in the Plastic Bubble'), and Adam Petherbridge (Da at Irish Repertory Theatre).

Gingold Theatrical Group to Host SHAW NEW YORK SYMPOSIUM Next Week

Gingold Theatrical Group's SHAW NEW YORK FESTIVAL, under the leadership of Artistic Director David Staller, hosts a SHAW NEW YORK SYMPOSIUM  on Monday, March 14 from 6-8pm, at the Bruno Walter Auditorium, New York Public Library (111 Amsterdam Avenue). Fallen Angel to Present WHEN I WAS A GIRL I USED TO SCREAM AND SHOUT

Fallen Angel Theatre Company (Aedin Moloney, Producing Artistic Director) today announced their next production: the Off-Broadway Premiere of Sharman Macdonald's When I Was A Girl I Used To Scream and Shout, a bittersweet and bitingly funny examination of mother/daughter turmoil. Performances will begin April 14th and continues through May 8th at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre.

John Malkovich to Direct The Irish Rep's A CELEBRATION OF HAROLD PINTER, Starring Julian Sands
