Melissa James Gibson's THIS Extends Through January 3, 2010

Following critical acclaim and popular demand, Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced a three-week extension for the World Premiere of THIS, the new play by Obie Award winner Melissa James Gibson (Suitcase, [sic]). Directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin ([sic], eight seasons as Artistic Director of Soho Rep), the production opened Wednesday, December 2. Originally set to run through Sunday, December 13, the limited engagement will now play through Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the theater company's Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street). This date represents the latest extension possible for the show.

Huntington Announces Changes in New Work Staff

Kate Baldwin Celebrates CD Release at Feinstein's, 12/13

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, will continue its star-studded Fall 2009 season with Broadway star, KATE BALDWIN on December 13. For her show at Feinstein's the Finian's Rainbow star will celebrate the release of her debut album, Let's See What Happens, devoted to the music and lyrics of Finian's Rainbow creators Burton Lane and E.Y. Nicholas Martin to Exit Williamstown Theater Festival Post

The New York Times is reporting that Nicholas Martin, the artistic director of the Williamstown Theater Festival, will step down from his post following his third season. The search for his replacement has begun by the Festival's board. Spokesman Rick Miramontez comments that Martin's reign at the Festival was always expected to be short-lived, given his outside directing obligations.
