As part of their 25th Anniversary Season, Target Margin Theater has announced the 2017 TMT Institute Fellows - CB Goodman, Ayun Halliday, Brian Lawlor, Aaron Minerbrook, and Anthony Wills, Jr.

Dixon Place and The Wet Ink Ensemble will present the NYC premiere of award-winning composer/performer Kate Soper's IPSA DIXIT for two nights only Today, February 3rd and Saturday February 4th, 2017 at 7:30 PM.

Playwright Mashuq Deen (New Dramatists Fellow 2022) brings the story of his own transgender journey as a member of a traditional South Asian family and Playwright Catherine Filloux, winner of more than 40 awards for playwriting, activism and peace work, brings her latest work to the stage at New York City's first arts-advocacy festival of its kind, the International Human Rights Art Festival.

2016 Bessie Award-winning choreographer Joya Powell brings her Movement of the People Dance company to the premiere International Human Rights Art Festival, New York City's first arts-advocacy festival of its kind.

This February, Steppenwolf Theatre Company's LookOut Series, a multi-genre performance series, presents two engagements written and performed by renowned performance artist and Chicago native, Karen Finley. Written in Sand: Collected AIDS Writings, a solo spoken word performance, runs Friday February 10 and Saturday February 11 at 8pm; and Unicorn Gratitude Mystery runs Friday, February 17 and Saturday, February 18 at 8pm (doors open at 7:30pm, general seating). Dixon Place's production of Angelica Page's Turning Page, about the life and career of her legendary mother Geraldine Page, will have its New York debut on February 10, 2017.

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble (RTE), Chicago's only Equity theatre dedicated to producing new work with women at the core, announces the world premiere of Winter by Julie Jensen. The production, co-directed by RTE members Megan Carney and Mark Ulrich,runs January 7 - February 11, 2017, at Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, 5779 N. Ridge Avenue in Chicago.  The press opening is Monday, January 16, 2017 at 7:00pm.

This production marks the first full-length work by her socially progressive company KineticArchitecture Dance Theatre.  Wonder/Through the Looking Glass Houses, will be performed on December 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th 16th and 17th at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street). In BLACKTOP HIGHWAY, Performance Artist John Fleck Muses on Simulacra, Animals (Live and Dead), and Trump. Taking on ten characters and mimicking as many animal sounds, the NEA 4 artist weaves a multi-media tale of horror that manages, incredibly, to make us laugh.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company announces the 2016/17 winter lineup for LookOut, the company's multi-genre performance series featuring a diverse array of work from both emerging and established artists. LookOut programming takes place in Steppenwolf's 1700 Theatre, an 80-seat cabaret-style space connected to Steppenwolf's own Front Bar: Coffee and Drinks at 1700 N Halsted St. Guests can take drinks into the theater. Every Friday a different DJ spins in Front Bar before the performance.
