Musical Theater Heritage (MTH) will present Urinetown: The Musical, by Mark Hollman and Greg Kotis, winner of three 2002 Tony Awards. Performances will take place Todays at 7pm, Fridays @ 8pm, Saturdays @ 2pm & 8pm, and Sundays @ 2pm, November 5-22. All performances will be held in the main stage at Musical Theater Heritage in the Crown Center Shops.
Urinteown writer Greg Kotis' latest production Pig Farm, is set, unsurprisingly, on a Pig Farm in small town USA, where farmer Tom lives with his wife Tina and Tim, a teenage delinquent working on the farm as part of his probation.

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center is now accepting projects for development during the 2016 National Music Theater Conference. Applicants may submit music theater works for consideration through Monday, November 23rd, 2015. The authors of works selected for the 2016 conference will be awarded a two week residency during June or July with a stipend, housing, meals, and transportation to support an intensive rehearsal process and four script-in-hand public readings.

On Friday, October 16, The Chernuchin Theatre, one of the theatres housed at The American Theatre for Actors (ATA, 314 West 54th Street, New York City) was named for beloved Broadway legend and two-time Tony Award winner John Cullum. He is best known as Holling, the bartender in 'Northern Exposure.'
John Cullum attended opening night of Fracture Theatre Company's production of URINETOWN, the show for which he originated the role of Caldwell B. Cladwell, then had the theater named after him in ceremonies following the performance. Also in attendance were the show's composer, Mark Hollmann, book writer Greg Kotis ( they collaborated on the lyrics) and Jennifer Laura Thompson, the original Hope Cladwell. Cast gathered on stage as Cullum was presented with a plaque. The two-time Tony-Award winner ( SHENANDOAH, ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY) saiid watching the show had transported him right back to Urinetown and that of all the theaters he has performed in, this theater, where the show got its start, would be his choice to bear his name.

Dead Posh Productions is thrilled to be bringing Pig Farm, by Tony Award® winning writer Greg Kotis, to the St. James Theatre for its UK Premiere. Dead Posh Productions will be co-producing alongside Julian Stoneman Associates, who brought the smash hit Urinetown The Musical, by the same author and to the same theatre, before its transfer to the Apollo Theatre.
