Today Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced that 16 college graduates from across the nation - including four natives of Northern California - have been awarded fellowships for the upcoming season.

Producers of John Leguizamo's Broadway show GHETTO KLOWN which closed yesterday, announced that the show has recouped its capitalization. Directed by Fisher Stevens, GHETTO KLOWN will play other US cities this fall and winter (dates and cities tba); in 2012 it will travel to South America and Leguizamo will perform the show in Spanish.

John Leguizamo's GHETTO KLOWN, which opened this spring for a 12 week engagement and was immediately extended at Broadway's Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street) closes on Sunday July 10. The acclaimed production will have played 25 previews and 95 regular performances. Plans are underway for John to take the show to other U.S. cities as well as to South America where he will perform it in Spanish.
