Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts announces new partnership with Temple University Early Childhood Education Program in presenting new monthly installment of FREE jazz and musical theater-focused programs for the 2012-13 PNC Grow Up Great Series. From November through February, child-friendly Jazz programs take the stage on Commonwealth Plaza, Saturdays from 11 a.m. to noon, introducing young learners, ages 0 to 4, to interactive concert experiences of jazz music.

The Weintraub Duo, which is comprised of husband and wife team, Jason and Nancy Weintraub, have released their second CD, 'Weintraub Duo Presents Gershwin and Romance'. Their first CD, 'Weintraub Duo Presents' was made in 2006. The musical duo was inspired to make another CD to complete the solo piano music of George Gershwin and to create a romantic atmosphere of easy-listening, relaxing music.

Tonight, October 16 brings one of Symphony Space's starriest presentations of the season: "Crazy for…Gershwin!," headlined by violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg and pianist Anne-Marie McDermott. Matthew Broderick will appear in a benefit performance for New York City's South Street Seaport Museum tonight, October 15 at 7:30 pm. The 'Celebrating Moby-Dick Benefit' will be an immersive evening of readings and films, starring Broderick as Ishmael, Edward Herrmann as Ahab, and John Douglas Thompson as Father Mapple.

JEncore Series, Inc., presenter of Peter Nero and The Philly POPS®, today announced the first concert series of the 2012/2013 Season will be held October 12-14, 2012 in Verizon Hall at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. "Dancing and Romancing" will commence The POPS 34th Annual Season and contains a tribute to Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, featuring nationally acclaimed dancers, Joan Hess and Kirby Ward, Spanish guitarist Pablo Sainz Villegas and violinist Michael Ludwig.

Tony Nominee Stephen Bogardus (Falsettos, Love! Valor! Compassion!) Luba Mason (Chicago, How to Succeed), Anastasia Barzee (Jekyll & Hyde, Miss Saigon) and 25 others have joined two-time Tony Nominee Vivian Reed (Bubbling Brown Sugar, Marie Christine) in the workshop cast of One for My Baby, the new book musical with a Harold Arlen score.
