The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY won an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Journalism Award for a series of reports from inside Syria by CBS News Foreign Correspondent Clarissa Ward, it was announced today by Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.

NBC News' Chief Foreign Correspondent Richard Engel and two of his crew members were kidnapped last week, and held for five days before they were released by an unnamed group today.

Award-winning television executive and producer Margaret Loesch, currently founding President and Chief Executive Officer of The Hub TV Network, has been inducted into the Mass Communication and Journalism Hall of Fame at the University of Southern Mississippi.
