Briana Davis Plays Don't Tell Mama, 8/3

Michael Martinez and Fred Coscia have announced a special appearance by vocalist Briana Davis (Smokey Joes Cafe, The World Goes Round) at An Evening of Music and Comedy at Don't Tell Mama on August, 3, 2012. This showcase and variety show will also feature singers Tara Bruno, Michelle Guadalupe, Leandra Ramm and Joanna Schubert. Producer Michael Martinez has previously presented showcases at Birdland, Don't Tell Mama and theaters in New York City. Fred Coscia is an television host, producer and entertainment manager.

Alec Baldwin to Return to Broadway in ORPHANS - Spring 2013!

The New York Times is reporting that Alec Baldwin will return to Broadway in the Spring of 2013 in a new production of OPRHANS, to be directed by Tony-winner Daniel Sullivan. There is no word yet on a theatre or additional cast members for the production.

Easton's State Theatre has announced its 2012-13 season- on sale to State Theatre Members Wed, August 1 (Box Office window at 453 Northampton Street opens at 6 AM; Online Ticketing and Phone lines open at Noon). Tickets will go on sale to the Public August 15th at 10 AM. Limit 6 tickets per Member per performance during Members Only sales. Membership to the Non-Profit State Theatre starts at $75, lasts one year and is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

The Ensemble Studio Theatre will honor two of its most distinguished members, the acclaimed actress Lois Smith and two-time Board chair G.H. 'Denny' Denniston, Jr with its 2012 Distinguished Member Award at a "Fun-Raiser" benefit celebration Monday evening, May 14, at 6:45pm at SIR Stage 37, 508 West 37th Street. Tickets are $350. CSI: NY's Gary Sinise Injured in Car Accident

The Associated Press reports that actor Gary Sinise, star of the CBS drama series CSI: NY has been injured in a car accident. The actor has cancelled his upcoming appearances with his Lt. Dan Band. The extent of his injuries is not yet known.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company continues its eighteenth season with John Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath" in an adaptation by Frank Galati. This production features CSC Ensemble Members Justin McCombs, Sherman Fracher and Drew Fracher and is directed by Brian Isaac Phillips. "The Grapes of Wrath" opens on March 30th and runs through April 29, 2012. The production design is generously sponsored by AAA.
