Broadway veterans and theater stars abounded in this year's esteemed list of nominations. In film, the category of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Lead Role included Bryan Cranston for TRUMBO, Michael Fassbender for STEVE JOBS and Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne for THE DANISH GIRL.

SAG-AFTRA today announced that Gabrielle Carteris has been re-elected as executive vice president of the union at its second biennial SAG-AFTRA National Convention in Los Angeles. Her new two-year term begins immediately.

Members of SAG-AFTRA today voted to ratify the 2014 SAG-AFTRA National Code of Fair Practice for Network Television Broadcasting (Network Television Code). The vote was 96.5 percent in favor of the new contract.

Carnie, daughter of Brian Wilson, one of the original Beach Boys, and sister of Wendy Wilson, is also known for her television work and recently for creating gourmet desserts for Vitello's Ristorante in Studio City. Carnie is married to music producer Rob Bonfiglio and has two young daughters, Lola 9 and Luci 5. She recently sat down with me to chat about the upcoming concert and various aspects of her career.

There may not have been 76 trombones, but Florence Henderson and Constantine Maroulis did excellent impersonations of librarian Marian Paroo and Harold Hill of 'The Music Man' fame, as they lead a 28 piece marching Broadway band into the Skirball Cultural Center in the new Guerin Pavilion/Herscher Hall to begin an evening of co-hosting for the Actors Fund's 18th Annual Tony Awards® Party. Delegates to the inaugural SAG-AFTRA National Convention on Saturday unanimously approved an historic resolution recognizing and supporting the union's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender members.

The inaugural SAG-AFTRA National Convention concluded today with inspiring speeches from the union's top officers, which focused on the convention's theme: United for Our Future. The day capped a four-day convention bringing together member delegates from across the country to celebrate union solidarity and conduct business.

On Friday, the second day of SAG-AFTRA's National Convention mixed business with educational opportunities for delegates.
