Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) just announced the full company for the new Broadway production of The Big Knife by Clifford Odets, starring Rachel Brosnahan as "Dixie Evans," Bobby Cannavale as "Charlie Castle," Marin Ireland as "Marion Castle," Billy Eugene Jones as "Russell," Richard Kind as "Marcus Hoff," Adam Rapp as "Hank Teagle," Ana Reeder as "Connie Bliss," Reg Rogers as "Smiley Coy," Joey Slotnick as "Buddy Bliss," Brenda Wehle as "Patty Benedict," Chip Zien as "Nat Danziger," directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes.

Austin Pendleton to Helm SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER for Mississippi Mud

Fresh from Ivanov starring Ethan Hawke, Obie- Award winning director Austin Pendleton directs Tennessee Williams' stark and religiously sensual morality play Suddenly Last Summer with the Mississippi Mud. This is the play that moved Brookes Atkinson to praise Williams as being "at the peak of his talent as a poet of the damned." It is brought to life in a new bold raw space production that places center stage the lush language of this modern fable. AKA and Bow Street Films announced today that they will merge into a new production outfit that will be named AKA/Bow Street Films (AKA/BSF). The new entity will allow filmmakers at the company to make high quality films for under $3 million. The slate at AKA/Bow Street Films will consist of two primary tranches of films, all with budgets between $500k and $3 million: genre films such as suspense, thriller, horror and contained action and, second, dramatic features of upcoming directors with strong casts that are made for a sensible price.
