Moonlight and Magnolias, the new comedy hit that tells the behind-the-scenes story of the making of one of the most celebrated movies of all time, will open Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company's 15th anniversary season on the 70th anniversary of the American movie classic Gone with the Wind. The area premiere of Moonlight and Magnolias by Ron Hutchinson opens October 24, 2009.

Act II Playhouse follows its highly-acclaimed production of Boeing-Boeing with Ernest Thompson's beloved play, On Golden Pond, onstage Nov. 17 to Dec. 13. Act II Producing Artistic Director Bud Martin directs this classic American comedy/drama that is every bit as touching, warm, and witty today as when it debuted on Broadway in 1979.

On Monday, October 26, 2009, Theatreworks USA (Barbara Pasternack, Artistic Director; Ken Arthur, Producing Director), a leading not-for-profit professional theatre will honor Kathleen Chalfant, Mike Moynihan and Patricia Velasquez with the Lee Salk 'Goodworks' Award at its annual awards dinner and gala.
