Dreamgirls, the winner of two Academy Awards and three Golden Globe awards, including Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, will take to the stage on DVD, Blu-ray and HD DVD May 1, 2007 from Paramount Home Entertainment.
Press attending this year's Cannes Film Festival were given an opportunity to see 20 minutes of never-before-seen footage from the film, which opens in the United States this Holiday season.
Shooting began on Monday, January 9, at the Palace Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, under the direction of Academy Award(R) winner Bill Condon. Filming on 'Dreamgirls' will also be accomplished at Los Angeles Center Studios, as well as on location in and around Los Angeles.
