According to the Hollywood Reporter, stage veterans Nicholas Hoult, John Kassir, Ewan McGregor, Ian McShane, Bill Nighy, and Stanley Tucci are on board for New Line/Legendary's 'Jack the Giant Killer.' The movie will be written by Darren Lemke and directed by Bryan Singer.

Edie Falco, whose credits include a multitude of both stage and film projects, is currently starring in the Showtime series 'Nurse Jackie', which is in its third season. 'Nurse Jackie' also features other theater stars, including Anna Deavere Smith, Eve Best, and Dominic Fumusa. It was an emotional evening last night as THE MERCHANT OF VENICE celebrated its official opening night on Broadway. On Friday, the show announced that it would push back it's official press opening to accommodate its star, Lily Rabe whose mother, actress Jill Clayburgh sadly passed away at 66 on November 5. On the heels of record ratings for their second season debuts, two of SHOWTIME'S critically and audience acclaimed original comedy series NURSE JACKIE and the Emmy(R) winning UNITED STATES OF TARA, have both been renewed for a third season. Both half-hour comedy series have received 12 episode orders and will go into production later in the year. The announcement was made today by Robert Greenblatt, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.
