The Improv standup comedy club and dinner theatre is coming to Atlanta. The Improv, perhaps best known for its A&E network show An Evening at the Improv, was founded by Budd Friedman in New York in 1963.
'It Gets Better' Project to Receive TV Academy Governors Award

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Board of Governors has voted to bestow its prestigious Governors Award this year upon the "It Gets Better Project™," an organization devoted to supporting LGBT young people via its website, initiatives and the posting of original videos with messages of empathy, encouragement and hope for a positive future.
Abbey Road's HELTER SHELTER Concert Benefits Riverside Dachshund Rescue in Upland Tonight, 8/25

The national touring band, Abbey Road - A Tribute to the Beatles, brings their three costume change show to the Grove Theatre in Upland, to lend support to a Riverside Dachshund rescue organization. This fundraiser, entitled Helter Shelter, will be held tonight, August 25 at 8:00 pm. Singer/songwriter and actor Austin Anderson will open the show.
