Esperanza Spalding, Rick Steves & More Added to Wells Fargo Center for the Arts' 2015-16 Lineup

Today, Wells Fargo Center for the Arts announced 21 new shows for 2015-2016, featuring world-class performances in music, dance, comedy, speakers and family entertainment. Wells Fargo Center for the Arts has, for over three decades, presented a popular and diverse range of outstanding performances for fans of all ages and varied interests. Tickets will be available to members of Wells Fargo Center for the Arts beginning on Tuesday, May 19 and on sale to the general public on Friday, June 5 at noon. Tickets and memberships may be purchased online at wellsfargocenterarts.org, by phone at 707.546.3600, or in person at the box office at 50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa.

The program features internationally-acclaimed Houston-based speed painter, Dan Dunn, as he brings music to life in a highly visual and spontaneous presentation. Using paint, sand, glass and canvas, Dan choreographs his theatrical performances to music at astonishing speed. On May 22, 23 and 24, Dan is expected to create eight works of art inspired by the sounds of the orchestra featuring songs like Tyzik's The Great Westerns Suite, Bohemian Rhapsody, music from Gladiator, John Lennon's Imagine, selections from Ravel's Mother Goose, and more. Additionally, one lucky audience member will be selected at random to participate in an on-stage activity with Dan.

Two of the biggest names in comedy, Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Harvey, have teamed up to showcase some of the smallest talent in “Little Big Shots” (working title), a new comedy/variety series for NBC featuring the world's most talented and extraordinary kids. The network has ordered eight hour-long episodes of the show, hosted by Harvey, from Warner Horizon Television.
