Peking Acrobats to Perform at Meany Hall

The Peking Acrobats, a troupe of China's most gifted tumblers, contortionists, jugglers, cyclists, and gymnasts, accompanied by live musicians playing traditional Chinese instruments, will bring their 2,000-year-old tradition of acrobatics to Meany Hall as part of an extensive tour of North America that celebrates the troupe's 30th Anniversary and the Year of the Monkey. The Peking Acrobats will appear at Meany Hall in two performances as part of the UW World Series on Saturday, January 23 at 3:00pm and 7:30pm.

RCA Nashville's Chris Young made his third trip to The Ellen DeGeneres Show to perform the Billboard Top Country Airplay chart three-week #1 single and title track from his newly released album, I'm Comin' Over. Young celebrated the milestone seventh chart-topper with a performance on the popular daytime show yesterday, and the clip has earned over 1.4 million views in under 24 hours on the show's Facebook page. The Kennedy Center today announced a robust schedule of 2015-2016 performances as part of Comedy at the Kennedy Center, the largest since the new series was established in the 2014-2015 season. Capital One is the presenting sponsor. Comedy at the Kennedy Center will include three signature events in the Concert Hall, featuring nationally renowned comedic acts, and the Center's first District of Comedy Festival from June 22-25, showcasing an array of celebrated comedians who will be performing on stages across the building. The District of Comedy Festival will also launch a newly-engaged collaboration with Chicago's legendary comedy theater, The Second City, featuring a Kennedy Center commission that focuses on the history of the United States, which will run for six weeks in the Theater Lab. Tickets for these events go on sale to members on Monday, November 23, 2015 and to the general public on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 (unless otherwise noted).
