American Humane Association and Hallmark Channel announced today that top-selling country music artist Jewel is performing at the American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards™. The star-studded evening honoring America's most courageous canines, presented by the Lois Pope LIFE Foundation and produced by Emmy® award-winning MRB Productions, will air as a 90-minute special on Hallmark Channel November 8, 2012 at 8:00 pm ET/PT. The program will air as part of Hallmark Channel's Pet Project, the network's cross-platform campaign designed to celebrate the joy and enrichment animals bring to our lives.

According to Darkhorizons.com, Paul Reubens confirmed at at Comic Con yesterday that he is currently working with Judd Apatow's production company to crate a new Pee Wee Herman movie. Reubens and Paul Rust have written the script, but there is still no word on who will direct the project.

(OTCQB: DISK) has acquired the home entertainment rights to THE PEE-WEE HERMAN SHOW ON BROADWAY and will be releasing it on Blu-rayTM and DVD in the fall in honor of the 25th Anniversary of Pee-wee's Playhouse. Opening to critical acclaim at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Nov. 11, 2010, 'The Pee-wee Herman Show' is 90 minutes of subversive humor and childlike wonder based on both Reubens' original stage show, 'The Pee-wee Herman Show,' and the Emmy-winning Saturday morning TV show, 'Pee-wee's Playhouse,' which became a cultural phenomenon. The New York Times called the new Broadway show 'yummier than chocolate,' New York Magazine said, 'Welcome back, Pee-wee! You were sorely missed,' and the New York Post noted, 'The audience screams for joy!' The announcement was made by Image Entertainment's Chief Acquisition Officer, Bill Bromiley.

The 6-part IFC Original short-based comedy series PORTLANDIA, created, written by and starring Fred Armisen (SNL) and Carrie Brownstein (Sleater-Kinney vocalist/guitarist), premieres on IFC Friday, January 21, 2011 at 10:30 PM ET/PT. Each episode's character-based shorts draw viewers into 'Portlandia,' the creators' dreamy and absurd rendering of Portland, Oregon. PORTLANDIA's inhabitants include, but are not limited to: an organic farmer/cult leader; members of an adult hide and seek league, owners of a feminist book store; a militant bike messenger; and an artsy couple who attach cut-outs of birds to everything. In PORTLANDIA Armisen and Brownstein encounter the bike-riding Mayor of Portland (Kyle MacLachlan), who solicits the duo to write a new theme song for the city. Their City Hall escapades feature a cameo from the real mayor of Portland (Sam Adams) playing the assistant to MacLachlan's mayor.

Disney Television Animation has reeled in a second-season pick-up of Disney Channel's animated comedy series 'Fish Hooks' and an order for a new animated Disney Channel comedy series, 'Gravity Falls,' each creator-driven series from noteworthy storytellers Noah Z. Jones and Alex Hirsch. The announcement was made today by Eric Coleman, Senior Vice President, Original Series, Disney Television Animation.
