'Some Enchanted Evening,' the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center Inaugural Gala, begins at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 7 and includes a reception, dinner and a performance in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre by Kelli O'Hara and Paulo Szot, the stars of Broadway's South Pacific. The orchestra will be conducted by Ted Sperling.

Old Globe Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced that Tony and Grammy Award winner Duncan Sheik will perform in concert with members of his touring band at the Globe prior to the World Premiere of his new musical, Whisper House, on Jan. 11 at 8:00 p.m. Sheik has toured extensively this year and will perform songs from Whisper House and his other acclaimed albums. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Globe's education activities. Tickets to Duncan Sheik in Concert are currently available by subscription only. Single tickets will go on sale on Dec. 11 at 10:00 a.m.

Barbara Walters confirmed on The View today that American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert will be featured as one of her '10 Most Fascinating People of 2009.' In his company are Lady Gaga, Tyler Perry, Sarah Palin, Brett Favre, Kate Gosselin and Glenn Beck. Walter's annual 'Most Fascinating People' episode will air December 9th, 2009 on ABC.

This dazzling display of musical talent and the lighting of the world's most famous Christmas tree during the 'Christmas in Rockefeller Center' telecast will be co-hosted by NBC stars Jane Krakowski ('30 Rock') and Zachary Levi ('Chuck') and broadcast in high definition. This holiday tree lighting celebration will also feature Michael Bubl, Aretha Franklin, Jose Feliciano, Alicia Keys, Barry Manilow, The Roots, Shakira, and The Radio City Rockettes performing a mix of current hits and holiday classics from beautifully ornamented stages around Rockefeller Center in New York City.

In a series that is unique because it develops new producers as well as new musicals, three works were chosen from submissions by emerging or established producers, as well as writers.
