LES MISERABLES Breaks Records for Christmas Day Advance Ticket Sales

LES MISERABLES might not open in movie theatres for another week, but accoridng to Fandango, the movie is the company's #1 advance ticket-seller among all Christmas Day releases, surpassing its previous record-holder, 2009's "Sherlock Holmes,' and the #1 advance ticket-seller among movie musicals, surpassing the previous record-holder, 2006's "Dreamgirls."

Eddie Redmayne in Negotiations for JUPITER ASCENDING Film

According to Variety, Tony winner Eddie Redmayne is in negotiations to star alongside Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis in 'Jupiter Ascending.' The sci-fi movie is 'set in a time where humans are at the bottom of the evolutionary ladder and follows a woman who has been targeted for assassination by the queen of the universe.'

As Frances Ruffelle wrote in her column for The Huffington Post, she was recently invited to a private party at Cameron Mackintosh's home and mingled with 'some of the world's top theatre creatives' such as Stephen Sondheim, Les Miserables film director Tom Hooper and the original Les Miserables theatre directors Trevor Nunn and John Caird. In a 'deliciously memorable moment', she introduced Hooper to Nunn and Caird, and 'they looked like they were getting on famously.'
