Thanks to the gang at [title of show] the new parlor game sweeping the nation (or at least Chelsea) is to come up with unusual names for drag queens. The best one I could think of was 'Belle Jar' but Mike Ceceri of North Shore Music Theatre came up with what I humbly consider to be the best one evah….

Flamingo Court, the off-Broadway comedy by Luigi Creatore starring Jamie Farr (television's 'M*A*S*H,' Guys & Dolls) and Tony Award nominee Anita Gillette (Chapter Two, They're Playing Our Song), will play its final performance on Sunday, September 28th at 3:00PM after 68 performances (including 17 previews).

'Spring Awakening: In The Flesh', arrived in bookstores this month and to celebrate the arrival, the book's author David Cote was joined by the show's Tony Award-Winning creators Steven Sater (Book & Lyrics) and Duncan Sheik (Music) on Monday, September 15 and had an informative 'conversation' - on the show, the music and its long-running success at The Barnes & Noble Store at the Lincoln Triangle (1972 Broadway @ 66th Street). BWW TV caught all the action as the show's creators discussed the story, the acclaimed cast sang the songs and audience learned more about the sensation that is Spring Awakening.

SPRING AWAKENING, the smash hit rock musical and winner of eight 2007 Tony Awards including Best Musical is now playing San Francisco's Curran Theatre through Sunday, Oct. 12. $40 RUSH tickets will be available for all performances except Saturday evening. These special RUSH tickets can be purchased on the day of performance only and are available when the box office opens at either the Curran Theatre Box Office (445 Geary Street) or the Orpheum Theatre Box Office (1192 Market Street at 8th). A native of Winnetka, IL, and graduate of New Trier High School, Grant returns to his hometown after 10 months in the Broadway ensemble of JERSEY BOYS.
