MADAGASCAR LIVE Tours the US Beginning 1/28

Tickets for DreamWorks Theatricals and Broadway Across America's 'MADAGASCAR LIVE' have gone on-sale in many cities across the U.S. DreamWorks Theatricals' first-ever live family touring show is expected to visit more than 70 cities across the United States beginning January 28, 2011 in York, PA.

Jude Law, Hugh Jackman and Alec Baldwin Lend Voice Talents to Upcoming Dreamworks Movie, Screenplay by David Lindsay-Abaire

Voice casting has been announced for the upcoming Dreamworks Animation film 'Rise of the Guardians.' Included in the cast are Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman, Alec Baldwin, Isla Fisher and Jude Law, as reported by Variety. The screenplay was written by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire, who recently released a film version of his Pulitzer Prize winning play Rabbit Role.

DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, Ltd. are pleased to announce that SHREK THE MUSICAL with book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori, directed by Jason Moore and Rob Ashford, will play Tennessee Performing Arts Center , January 25 through 30.

NBC Picks Up New Zadan/Meron Pilot SMASH

According to Variety, NBC has picked up a new pilot entitled SMASH, which is about 'a group of people who come together to put on a Broadway musical.' The series was developed by NBC's Robert Greenblatt, Steven Spielberg, and Broadway producing team Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.

Schwartz to Team with Rahman on Dreamworks Animated Musical

Variety reports this morning that Wicked's Stephen Schwartz has teamed up with Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours composer A.R. Rahman on a new animated musical film for Dreamworks Animation entitled, Monkeys of Bollywood. Husband and wife Gurinder Chadha and Paul Berges are producing. The project, if fast tracked, will be the first musical animated feature under the Dreamworks banner.
