Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. This marks the third acquisition for Recorded Books, following the additions of HighBridge Company and Tantor Media in 2014. Recorded Books now boasts a catalog of over 27,000 unabridged audiobooks, making it one of the industry's largest. Recorded Books is owned by Shamrock Capital Advisors.

Actors Co-op (Ovation Award-Winner 2014 Best Intimate Theatre Musical for 110 in the Shade) announces the third show in its 2015-2016 season (and 24th year of producing theatrical excellence in Los Angeles!) with Tennessee Williams masterpiece SUMMER AND SMOKE, directed by Thom Babbes.  SUMMER AND SMOKE will preview on Wednesday, March 2 and Thursday, March 3 at 8pm and will open on Friday, March 4 at 8pm and run through Sunday, April 17 at the Actors Co-op David Schall Theatre, 1760 N. The Beams are Creaking is a dramatic representation of the tumultuous life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a man who became a Christian martyr of Nazi resistance because of his unyielding faith. Bonhoeffer is a German pastor who tried to assassinate Hitler, but is ultimately a more complex character than one may expect given that information. This is where the A.D. Players and Douglas Anderson, the playwright, step in and deliver a compelling character study of the infamous theologian.
