The Tampa, Fla., premiere of MARY POPPINS opens tonight, Friday, May 21, at 8 p.m. at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts for a limited engagement of three weeks through Sunday, June 6. MARY POPPINS plays Tuesday- Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 1 and 6:30 p.m. Great seats are still available at each performance.
From June 16 to July 17, Cath Farr for Good Night Out will present the UK premiere of Jack Hibberd's play A STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION at the Cock Tavern Theatre in London. The production will be directed by, designed by, and starring Mark Little.

Tthe 55th Annual Drama Desk Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center. Former Drama Desk Award winner Patti LuPone will host the awards ceremony.

A revival of Circle Players' 2008 production, which was staged at the company's then-home at the Z. Alexander Looby Theatre, this 'new and improved' mounting (a collaboration between Circle and SCA) is astounding in its sheer chutzpah. Who'd have ever thought a community theatre could take on such a daunting task and be so imminently successful in doing so? Frankly, it boggles the mind.
