James Vasquez directed and choreographed this hilarious mash-up of a beauty pageant and a drag musical that let's audience members decide who is crowned the winner. The talented and funny David McBean returned as Miss Deep South and Phil Johnson reprised his role as the wacky master of ceremonies. With Book and Lyrics by Bill Russell (Side Show) and Frank Kelly (The Texas Chainsaw Musical) and Music by Albert Evans, this crowd pleasing romp about beauty contestants ran over the summer. In Cygnet Theatre's hilarious production of the off-Broadway hit, Pageant, audience members help crown a different beauty contest winner each night. On July 20th, 7 PM, our Pageant contestants will have to perform for judges who really know their stuff! Miss California USA, Cassandra Kunze and Miss California Teen USA, Bianca Vierra will serve as Celebrity Judges and help evaluate our 'girls' on swimsuit, physical fitness, spokes model and beauty crisis counseling. They will also be on hand pre-show to sign autographs and pose for pictures.
