Award Winning playwright, filmmaker and author David E. Talbert brings his newest stage production 'What My Husband Doesn't Know' to the Fabulous Fox Theatre on Sunday, October 23rd for two performances at 3 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
According to published reports, Destiny's Child's Michelle Williams will star in the play, WHAT MY HUSBAND DOESN'T KNOW in Baton Rouge. Williams will co-star with Brian White in the David E. Talbert play.
Breaking The Leg, written by comedienne Heather Henderson and produced by rapper Clifford 'Redd' Johnson offers a new perspective on the African-American theater experience. In the shadows of successful African-American playwrights like Tyler Perry and David E. Talbert, Breaking The Leg sets out to deconstruct stereotypes and challenge the idea that all black plays are the same. The production will be at the City Theatre for a limited two performances on Saturday, Dec. 18 and Sunday, Dec. 19. Both shows start at 7:00 p.m.

The National Black Gospel Play Association (NBGPA), an organization dedicated to uplifting and inspiring messages through theater has extended it entry deadline for aspiring playwrights in its 2009 NBGPA play competition to Wed., Jun. 10.
