GLEE pays homage to Madonna and the power of her music with a full episode devoted to one of the most revered and iconic musicians of this generation. The sure-to-be-fan-favorite installment of television's most-loved new series will air in its regular time period Tuesday, April 20 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

In 'The Power of Madonna' episode, MR. SCHUESTER (Matthew Morrison) is concerned that the girls in the glee club are being disrespected and bullied by the male members. Looking to Madonna and her musical message of equality as inspiration, he challenges the entire team to choose Madonna songs as their next assignment in the hopes that the girls embrace Madonna's strength, independence and confidence so that the guys will see the errors of their misogynistic ways. The glee club takes the assignment to heart and performs some of Madonna's greatest hits, including 'Express Yourself' and 'Like a Prayer.' Meanwhile, KURT (Chris Colfer) and MERCEDES (Amber Riley) give SUE (Jane Lynch) a vote of confidence with a Madonna makeover that is definitely in 'Vogue.'

Fox has released new photos from GLEE's upcoming Madonna episode on Tuesday, April 20, 2010!

Neil Patrick Harris will be playing a former rival of Mr. Schu (Matthew Morrison) who's come back to town to try to shut down the show choir. Reports Entertainment Weekly: 'Harris and on-screen rival Matthew Morrison will find themselves up for the same role in a community theater production - hence the 'Dream On' duet/showdown [that had been] teased in Ausiello TV.'

Queens Theatre in the Park (QTP) and Bristol Riverside Theatre, in association with Neil Berg and Adam Friedson, will present a new production of the award-winning musical revue Closer Than Ever directed by Richard Malty. Jr. and starring original cast members Sally Mayes and Lynne Wintersteller along with Broadway alums George Dvorksy and Sal Vivinio from April 16-25 (Wednesday and Thursday at 2PM; Friday and Saturday at 8pm; Saturday at 2pm; and Sunday at 3pm) in the Claire Shulman Playhouse Main Stage Theatre at Queens Theatre in the Park, Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Flushing, NY.

GLEE's highly anticipated Lady GaGa episode just got more exciting. Series creator Ryan Murphy has stated that the special episode will see Lea Michele and Idina Menzel perform an accoustic version of Lady Gaga's 'Poker Face.' Murphy is quoted as saying the duet is 'sort of like a stripped-down Mother/Daughter version.' Let the theorizing begin, Glee fans!

At the beginning of 'Hell-O,' the kick-off to the second half of GLEE's first season, Will Schuester gives his group of singing, dancing high school misfits a lecture on re-introductions. 'We need a new ‘Hello',' he says, emphasizing that New Directions needs to make a change befitting their name in order to make it to regionals.

Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reports that big things may be in store for Finn and Terri?! Ryan Murphy, GLEE's creator explains 'Finn gets a job at Sheets & Things, he is very down on himself, and Terri realizes that she was not very supportive of her husband and she sees a lot of him in Finn.'

The producers of GLEE have just released preview clips for upcoming songs to be featured in episode 16, titled, 'Home.' The songs include Beautiful (sung by Mercedes), One Less Bell to Answer/A House is Not a Home (April/Will), Fire (April/Will), Home (April), and A House is Not a Home (Kurt). Click below to sample! Also in the season, it has been revealed that guest star Kristin Chenoweth will be singing Bacharach numbers, currently featured in her production of PROMISES, PROMISES on Broadway.

Deadline.com reports that after a heavily bemoaned four-month hiatus Fox's GLEE returned to TV last night with its highest-rated episode ever.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater will conclude its 15th Anniversary season with the world premiere of The Aliens, by Annie Baker (Circle Mirror Transformation, Body Awareness). Directed by Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation, Rag and Bone), performances begin Wednesday, April 14th, 2010. Opening night is Thursday, April 22nd at 7pm. The show is scheduled to run through Sunday, May 23rd, 2010.
