NEXT FALL Will Arrive on Broadway with Critically Acclaimed Original Cast Intact

Barbara Manocherian, Richard Willis and Anthony Barrile in association with Naked Angels (Geoffrey Nauffts, Artistic Director; John Alexander, Managing Director; Andy Donald, Associate Artistic Director; Brittany O'Neill, Producer) are pleased to announce that the critically acclaimed original cast will return for the Broadway run of NEXT FALL, the new American play by Geoffrey Nauffts and directed by Sheryl Kaller. The production will open on Broadway on Thursday, March 11, 2010 with preview performances beginning Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44th Street).

Bill Cosby to Be Honored by Glover, Rashad, Rock, Seinfeld, Moreno, Lopez & More at Kennedy Center Oct. 26

Iconic funny man Bill Cosby, who has been making audiences laugh for decades with his keen insight into everyday existence, will be honored by a variety of former co-stars and luminaries, including Len Chandler, James De Priest, Danny Glover, Dick Gregory Jimmy Heath, George Lopez, Wynton Marsalis, Rita Moreno, Willie Nelson, Phylicia Rashad, Carl Reiner, Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Sinbad, and Malcolm-Jamal Warner in a salute at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 8pm as Cosby receives the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

Feeling Better, Parker Posey to Star in FIlm 'Highland Park'

The Lucille Lortel Award-winning Parker Posey has joined the cast of the new film, Highland Park, currently shooting in Detroit. This comes a couple of months after the actress dropped out of Playwrights Horizon's THIS due to a case of Lymes Disease. Parker was replaced by Julianne Nicholson in the production, which begins previews on November 6 and runs through December 2.

Yaya Dacosta to Join ABC's 'UGLY BETTY'

Stage and screen actress, as well as runner-up in Cycle 3 of America's Next Top Model, Yaya Dacosta, will take over the recurring role of Wilhelmina's defiant daughter Nico on ABC's 'Ugly Betty' this season.

NYTW Presents AFTERMATH, Performances Begin 9/1

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that Aftermath, written by Jessica Blank & Erik Jensen, and directed by Ms. Blank, will begin performances Tuesday, September 1, at 7pm, at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery. Opening night is scheduled for Tuesday, September 15 at 7:00pm. The production will run through Sunday, October 4.

For the fifth consecutive year, The Riverside Theatre and ArtMattan Productions have teamed up to present an eclectic slate of award winning, thought provoking and entertaining films from Africa and the African Diaspora from August 21 through August 30 during the annual African Diaspora Summer Film Series at The Riverside Theatre, 91 Claremont Ave. (bet. 120th & 122nd St.), Morningside Heights.

Heather M. Kitchen Steps Down as A.C.T.'s Executive Director

Heather M. Kitchen, now in her 14th season as executive director at American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.), will step down from her position at the end of August 2009. Ms. Kitchen will remain available to the company through the end of this year as a consultant and adviser during the transition process. The A.C.T. Board of Trustees is forming a search committee to conduct a comprehensive search for Ms. Kitchen's successor.
