Jennifer Kim, Michael Stahl-David & More to Star in Second Stage Theatre's ENGAGEMENTS

Second Stage Theatre  will conclude the 2016 Uptown Series with the New York premiere of Lucy Teitler's ENGAGEMENTS, directed by Kimberly Senior. ENGAGEMENTS will feature JENNIFER KIM, OMAR MASKATI, ANA NOGUEIRA, MICHAEL STAHL-DAVID, and BROOKE WEISMAN . ENGAGEMENTS will begin previews on Monday, July 18th and will officially open on Thursday, August 4th. 

Gloria Steinem and Friends Present A Reading From Winter Miller' SPARE RIB

Feminist icon Gloria Steinem and friends present a celebration honoring Dr. Willie Parker, a feminist Christian abortion provider, with a reading from the play SPARE RIB by Winter Miller (In Darfur). Adrienne Campbell-Holt (Cal in Camo), Artistic Director of Colt Coeur, directs the reading. With special musical guest, Lady Rizo.

Thomas Bradshaw, Erika Sheffer & Wallace Shawn Set for The New Group's THE SENSUALITY PARTY Talkbacks

The New Group has announced additional guests for post-show talkbacks at The Sensuality Party, with playwrights Thomas Bradshaw (Burning, Intimacy) and Erika Sheffer (Russian Transport) joining in the conversation at Brooklyn College following the 7:00pm performances on May 2 and May 3, respectively, and Wallace Shawn (Aunt Dan and Lemon, The Fever, Marie and Bruce) joining at LaGuardia Community College following the 2:30pm performance on May 11.

Ato Essandoh ("Vinyl" (HBO), Mother Courage and Her Children, Shakespeare in the Park) will join Adrienne Campbell-Holt (Cal in Camo, Colt Coeur & Rattlestick Plawrights Theater), Genesis Oliver (How to Live on Earth, Colt Coeur), Adam Harrington (How to Live on Earth, Colt Coeur), Eden Marryshow (Pass Over, Cherry Lane), and Anna Loyd Bradshaw in a performance of new plays by Brooklyn public school students ages 11 to 15.

The New Group's THE SENSUALITY PARTY Begins Performances Tonight

Performances begin tonight for The Sensuality Party, a new play by Justin Kuritzkes, presented by The New Group as part of the company's 2015-2016 season. This New York premiere, directed by Danya Taymor, features Catherine Combs, Jeff Cuttler, Katherine Folk-Sullivan, Jake Horowitz, Layla Khoshnoudi and Rowan Vickers.

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble to Stage Midwest Premiere of DRY LAND

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble (RTE), Chicago's only Equity theatre dedicated to producing new work with women at the core, announces the midwest premiere of Dry Land by Ruby Rae Spiegel. The production, directed by RTE member Hallie Gordon, runs April 22 - May 28, 2016, at Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, 5779 N. Ridge Avenue in Chicago. The press opening is Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 7:00pm.

The New Group to Bring Kuritzkes' THE SENSUALITY PARTY to NYC College Campuses

The New Group proudly presents The Sensuality Party as part of its 2015-2016 season. This New York premiere of a new play by Justin Kuritzkes was developed through The New Group's New Group/New Works play development program. Directed by Danya Taymor, this production will play 18 performances only at college campuses across all five boroughs of New York City, with venues including Brooklyn College, LaGuardia Community College, Gallatin School (New York University), Baruch College, Lehman College, Pace University NYC Campus, Pace University Westchester Campus and the College of Staten Island. WP Theater Announces The Pipeline Festival Complete Lineup

NCTC to Present World Premiere of SAGITTARIUS PONDEROSA

In January, NCTC is proud to present the world premiere of a whimsical and powerful new play, Sagittarius Ponderosa by MJ Kaufman, directed by Ben Randle. Winner of the 2014 Global Age Project at Aurora Theatre Company and featured on The 2015 Kilroy List of the most recommended new plays by female and trans* writers, the play introduces us to Archer (still Angela to his family), who makes the journey back home to the forests of Eastern Oregon. His journey back proves to be just the beginning when he meets a handsome stranger at night under the oldest Ponderosa Pine. What follows illuminates the transitions of life and death, the comings and goings of love, and the mysteries of the human heart.

Actors Theatre's Apprentice/Intern Company to Present THE DIAMOND TRADE, 9/28

Actors Theatre's Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein are thrilled to announce THE DIAMOND TRADE by Emily Feldman, presented as part of the Apprentice/Intern Company season of new work. THE DIAMOND TRADE, which is the first of three productions commissioned by Actors Theatre for the Acting Apprentice Company, will be performed on Monday, September 28th 2015 at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. in the Sara Shallenberger Brown lobby at Actors Theatre of Louisville.
