The Museum of the City of New York mounted an exhibition titled New York's Yiddish Theater: From the Bowery to Broadway in March 2016. It is curated by Dr. Edna Nahshon, professor of Theater and Drama at The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) and author of a book that shares the exhibition's title, published by Columbia University Press. The exhibition will be on view through July 31, 2016.

Now celebrating its 38th year, the annual Museum Mile Festival takes place rain or shine on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Over 1.5 million people have taken part in this annual celebration since its inception. Festival attendees can walk the Mile on Fifth Avenue between 82nd Street and 105th Street while visiting seven of New York City's finest cultural institutions, which are open free to the public throughout the evening. The Museum Mile Festival's opening ceremony takes place at 5:45pm at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (1000 Fifth Avenue at 82nd Street). Traditionally, the Commissioner of Cultural Affairs and other city and state dignitaries open the Festival. Details on the Festival's offerings can be found at MuseumMileFestival.org.

Theatre for a New Audience announces that as part of its 2016-2017 season at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, Golden Globe Award winner Oscar Isaac will play the title role in Hamlet staged by Sam Gold. Oscar Isaac and Sam Gold last worked together on Zoe Kazan's We Live Here in 2011.Hamlet is their first collaboration on Shakespeare and their first production with Theatre for a New Audience. Hamlet will begin previews on June 4, 2017 for an opening June 22 and run through July 30.

On Tuesday, April 5 at 8 PM, the Musicians of Lenox Hill, under the artistic direction of Soo-Kyung Park, will perform at the Temple Israel of the City of New York located at 112 East 75th Street in New York City. The program features Antonio Battolomeo Bruni's Duo No. 2 in g minor for Violin and Viola, Op. 4, Franz Liszt's Les jeux d'eaux a la Villa d'Este from Annees de Peleringe (Troisieme Annee) for Solo Piano, Beryl Rubinstein's Sonata for Flute and Piano, and Anton Dvorak's Piano Quintet No. 2 in A Major, Op. 81. The concert is free to the public, but donations are gratefully accepted at the door.
