BWW Reviews: CATCH ME IF YOU CAN is a Glossy Premiere with Substance

CATCH ME IF YOU CAN at Hale Centre Theatre in West Valley is a slick, joyful production with heart. When its glossy veneer opens up to reveal the substance beneath, it is truly show-stopping. Both ebullient and poignant, this regional premiere is certainly not to be missed.

BWW Reviews: MY LIFE IS A MUSICAL at the Bay Street Theatre

It is always exciting to say 'I saw the world premiere'. You will have such an opportunity if you catch the hilarious new musical My Life Is A Musical by Adam Overett running through August 31st at Sag Harbor's Bay Street Theatre. It is still in its early stages, but the enthusiastic reception seems to indicate that tickets may be in short supply as the production continues its run.

The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture just launched its first exhibition of 2014, MOTOWN: THE TRUTH IS A HIT. Featuring items that highlight Motown's inimitable founder Berry Gordy and the institution's most beloved musical acts, the multi-media showcase chronicles one of the most significant record labels in American music history.
