Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC), dedicated to advancing the art and business of live entertainment, held their 28th Annual MAC Awards celebration last evening at BB King's Blues club in Times Square. Winners in twenty-five categories were announced. The show was hosted by the vivacious singer, band leader, multiple MAC Award winner and 2014 Nominee, Terese Genecco. The gala was produced by Julie Miller and directed by Lennie Watts, the current MAC President. Don Rebic served as Musical Director. Music Conservatory of Westchester will take you from the greens and the courts to The Great White Way on Monday, June 23rd for its 13th Annual Golf and Tennis Classic at Whippoorwill Club in Armonk. Following a day of fun competition, the not-for-profit community music school will hold a Broadway-themed awards dinner honoring iconic performer Barbara Cook and acclaimed conductor John Mauceri with lifetime achievement awards.

Norm Lewis - the Tony Award nominated leading man who will soon make history as the first African-American Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway- will play the title role in a special industry reading of Mandela: A New Musical with book, music and lyrics by Steven M. Fisher on Monday, March 31 at 3:00 PM. It will be directed by David Glenn Armstrong with Music Direction by Micah Young.

Kander & Ebb's THE ACT, featuring Anna Chlumsky, Tony winners Randy Graff and Cady Huffman, and more, will play 54 Below in a concert version on April 3 (7 and 9:30 p.m.) and April 4 (8 and 11 p.m.).

The award winning Choice Films, Michael Cohen, Robin Reinach & Ben Feldman will present an invite-only reading of the new play CONSENT, by critically acclaimed playwright David Rhodes, directed by Drama Desk Award winner Josh Hecht. The reading will take place in New York City on March 31st, 2014.

Patty & Emily are bringing their special brand of fangirl enthusiasm back to the 54 Below stage! Join in the obsessive Broadway chat with this late night talk show. Patty & Emily, along with their music director, will welcome Broadway guests Cady Huffman, Jessica Phillips, Jennifer Laura Thompson, and more for performances and interviews, all the while gushing over them embarrassingly. There will be gasping, laughing, probably a lot of tears, and a whole lot of Broadway love.
