Sheffield Theatres has been awarded the prestigious title of Regional Theatre of the Year 2014 at The Stage Awards today. This is the second time that Sheffield Theatres has been awarded the title and the first time that any theatre has won the award twice.

Nicholas Thompson, will be stepping down from his post as artistic director as of Spring 2014. Nicholas has been with the Old Red Lion Theatre for over three years in the roles of both producer and artistic director. He will be pursuing work as a freelance director, producer and general manager. He will be continuing as an artistic associate with the Old Red Lion.
