THE VAST MACHINE Premieres Tonight at Axis Theatre

Axis Theatre will present the world premiere of The Vast Machine, a new play written and directed by Randy Sharp about the dilemmas facing the crew of a slave ship at sea in the Middle Passage. Performances will take place now through November 7 at Axis Theatre (1 Sheridan Square) in the West Village.

Following a sold-out engagement at London's Hippodrome, San Francisco native Holly Penfield makes her Feinstein's at the Nikko debut with her acclaimed show, HOLLY PENFIELD SINGS JUDY GARLAND on Thursday, October 15 at 8 p.m.  Penfield will present the songs of the legendary Judy Garland in her own inimitable style.

The world premiere production of 'How to be a Rock Critic' continues through June 28 in a limited engagement of 12 performances at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre. Based on the writing of Lester Bangs, the rock critic who reached iconic status in the 1970s with his passionate, intellectually honest writing, 'How to be a Rock Critic' will be performed in the theatre's rehearsal space, Upstairs@KDT. LATE WITH LANCE to Play Triple Crown Underground in July

 Peter Michael Marino's beloved, delusional cruise ship entertainer is back in NYC for two nights after receiving raves in Orlando and Hollywood. Meet Lance…celebrity stalker and pathological musical theater fanatic. After a 15-year hiatus from the cabaret world, Lance is back in town with his own brand of variety talk show. He's invited Liza Minnelli, Hugh Jackman and Miami Sound Machine to be on his show  - and that's surely bound to happen. This solo show/ talk show spoof with a musical theater twist features original song parodies, The Sound of Music performed in five minutes, an homage to the film Fame, and many more ridiculous surprises. Lance has suffered for his art. Now it's your turn.
