Emma Swan knows how to take care of herself, a bail bondsperson who's been on her own ever since she was abandoned as a baby. But when Henry -- the son she gave up years ago -- finds her, all that changes. Henry, now 10, is in desperate need of Emma's help. He believes Emma comes from an alternate world and is the missing daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming who was sent away, according to his book of fairytales, to protect her from the Evil Queen's curse. That curse has trapped the characters of fairytale world, frozen in time, and brought them into our modern world.
