BWW speaks to the creators of The Girl Who Jumped Off The Hollywood Sign about bringing the show to the 2017 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The Sarah Siddons Society of Chicago has announced 2017 winners of the prestigious Actor of the Year Award.

Bette is back! The Dallas/Fort Worth tour of Camilla Carr's award-winning play, starring Morgana Shaw and directed by Ryan Matthieu Smith, continues. “Bette” will run two nights only, at 8 p.m. August 11-12, at Stage West in Fort Worth. Following the Stage West presentation, “All About Bette” moves to the Stone Cottage Theatre in Addison. The performances will be August 18, 19, 25 and 26 at 8 p.m.

Remember the 1981 film of Christina Crawford's book Mommie Dearest? Do you remember the actress who played Crawford's invaluable and devoted assistant Carol Ann? It was Rutanya Alda, and she's written a day by day diary of the filming of this cult classic. How delicious! All the gossipy dirt about Faye Dunaway and everyone else connected to the movie like Diana Scarwid, Mara Hobel, Steve Forrest, Howard Da Silva and director Frank Perry. Alda is honest and tells it like it was. If Dunaway was pleasant, she says so; if she was in a bitchy mood, she paints that as well.

Olivia de Havilland, golden age silver screen star may be 101 years old but she's still around and keeping an eye on pop culture. The New York Times reports that Ms. de Havilland has filed suit against Ryan Murphy, accusing him of falsely representing her on his series FEUD: BETTE AND JOAN.

Award-winning Elsinore County, under the Artistic Direction of Antony Raymond, will premiere the new comedy Apartment 301 at the Access Theater in Tribeca. Apartment 301 was written by Antony Raymond who also serves as director.

Jessica Sherr is proud to announce the limited Chicago engagement of her smash hit one-woman show Bette Davis Ain't for Sissies, June 15 - July 2, at the Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N.
