Actors Co-0p Theatre Company (Ovation Award-Winner 2014 Best Intimate Theatre Musical for 110 in the Shade) presents the first show in its 26th Season with THE 39 STEPS, adapted by Patrick Barlow from the novel by John Buchan and film by Alfred Hitchcock, directed by Kevin Chesley, produced by Jorie Janeway. THE 39 STEPS will preview on Thursday, September 21 at 8pm and will open Today, September 22 at 8pm and run through Sunday, October 29 at the Actors Co-op Crossley Theatre, 1760 N. Gower St. 90028 (on the campus of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood) in Hollywood.

Pig Iron Theatre Company, the internationally acclaimed, Philadelphia-based organization, has announced that the world premiere of its ambitious, timely production A Period of Animate Existence will take place September 22-24 at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Pennsylvania in the 2017 Fringe Festival, co-presented by FringeArts and Annenberg Center Live.

The rock musical HAIR opens at London's fully immersive Off-West-End theatre, The Vaults, from Wednesday 4 October 2017 and is now to run to Saturday 13 January 2018. BWW Interview: Director Kevin Chesley Discusses THE 39 STEPS at Actors Co-op

KEVIN CHESLEY has directed, written and performed sketch comedy for stages like Upright Citizens Brigade (LA and NYC), The iO (Chicago and West), and the Vancouver Comedy Festival. He is a co-founder of TROOP! and The Riot Act, troupes that have performed in venues like The Comedy Central Stage, The HBO Workspace, and The Chicago Improv Festival. For ten years he has directed The Apple Sisters, a staged 1943 radio show that very much helped prepare him to dive into the 1935 world of The 39 Steps. He was also a director for The Hampstead Players Theater Company. A screenwriter, Kevin has written for The Onion, National Lampoon, and MTV's The Hard Times of RJ Berger, as well as screenplays for Warner Brothers, Paramount, Bad Robot, Happy Madison, and 20th Century Fox. He has Executive Produced pilots for both NBC and Cartoon Network. Training: Act One Hollywood, BFA Emerson College. He is currently directing The 39 Steps for Actors Co-op about to open Friday September 22.

The Palm Canyon Theatre brings to the stage the family friendly musical OLIVER from September 22 through October 1 at their iconic theatre in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. Straight out of training at the Palm Canyon Theatre's Summer Kids Camp, about 30 talented young actors, as well as company members and professionals will come together to bring the English musical Oliver! to the stage in Palm Springs. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Original Score, Lionel Bart wrote the Oliver! music and lyrics based on the classic Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist.
