Princess Grace award-winning actor Lucius Robinson will present his psychological thriller-comedy about the sinister boy next door.

Nickelodeon, the number-one network for kids, announced today that RISE of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the reimagined 2D-animated series, has been greenlit for a second season with 26 episodes. The action-comedy follows the band of brothers, Raph, Leo, Donnie and Mikey, as they discover new powers and encounter a mystical world they never knew existed beneath the streets of New York City. Season two will begin production this fall at Nickelodeon's headquarters in Burbank, Calif.

Nancy Manocherian's the cell (Artistic Director, Kira Simring), who scored a hit last season with the World Premiere musical Bastard Jones, will present the New York Premiere of THE EVOLUTION OF MANN, a musical featuring music & lyrics by Drama Desk nominee Douglas J. Cohen (Children's Letters to God, The Opposite of Sex) and book & lyrics by Dan Elish (13: The Musical) based on his novel, Nine Wives. Directed by Joe Barros (Bastard Jones), the production will star Max Crumm (Grease, Disaster!) in the title role. Previews begin September 23 at the cell with opening slated for Thursday, October 4.

Queens-based Rude Grooms announced today initial details for the company's inaugural public production: William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, led by actor-manager Laura Piccoli (Unhealthy at Battalion Theatre Co) and produced in partnership with Long Island City Artists at the Plaxall Gallery and the Astoria Park Alliance. The production will play shows in Queens at the Plaxall Gallery, Astoria Park, Queensbridge Park, and Rainey Park as well as in Manhattan at the West End Theatre. Theatre Tulsa will kick off its 96th season in August with Oklahoma's first locally-produced version of "Newsies."

Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen's Entertainment Studios, has acquired North American digital rights for REACH, the high-school drama about bullying from the perspective of the bully, the bullied, and the bystanders. REACH will debut on VOD and will be available to rent and own on digital HD across North American cable, internet, and satellite platforms through Freestyle Digital Media on October 19, 2018. Christian Meoli's Voltaire Media will theatrically release REACH in 10 major markets, day and date, including his Los Angeles theatre Arena Cinelounge, in Hollywood.

Disney Theatrical Productions, Broadway in Columbus, and CAPA today announced that tickets for the long-awaited Columbus premiere of Disney's Aladdin will go on sale to the public on Thursday, August 16, at 10 am. The hit Broadway musical will begin performances at the Ohio Theatre on Wednesday, October 24, for a limited engagement of two weeks through Sunday, November 4.
