The original production of A CHORUS LINE opened at the Public Theater's Newman Theatre on May 21, 1975 and transferred to Broadway's Shubert Theatre on July 25th, where it officially opened on Broadway on October 19th of that year. It won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Direction, Choreography, Actress, Supporting Actress, Supporting Actor, Score and Book, and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award. It ran for nearly 15 years, closing on April 28, 1990 after 6,137 performances.

The new production of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical A CHORUS LINE comes to the Providence Performing Arts Center for a limited engagement, March 31 - April 5.
Performance times for A CHORUS LINE are as follows: Tuesday, March 31 at 7P; Wednesday, April 1 and Thursday, April 2 at 7:30P; Friday, April 3 at 8P; Saturday, April 4 at 2P & 8P; and Sunday, April 5 at 1P & 6:30P. Ticket prices are $68, $63, $61, $56, $51, $46, and $41; all ticket prices include a $3 per ticket restoration charge.
