ThroughLine Artists with J.J. Kandel and John McCormack will present SUMMER SHORTS 4, their fourth annual festival of new American short plays, at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street). Performances begin Friday July 30th, and continue through Thursday September 2nd.

Second Story Theatre presents ST. NICHOLAS, written by Tony Award-winning playwright Conor McPherson (The Seafarer, The Weir), directed by Scott Paulin (Getting Frankie Married, The Roads to Home) and performed by Michael McGee. ST. NICHOLAS will open on Friday, June 18 at 8pm and will run for six weeks through Sunday, July 25th (there will be no performances the Fourth of July weekend) at the SFS Theatre, 5636 Melrose Ave.

Circus Theatricals's 2010 Season opener MORE LIES ABOUT JERZY by Davey Holmes, directed by David Trainer will close July 24. Producing is Jeannine Stehlin. The production stars acclaimed, award-winning actor, Jack Stehlin. The production opened Saturday, May 15 at Circus Theatricals at the Hayworth.

Propinquity Productions presents the World Premiere of An Idiot, Jeff Tabnick's modern retelling of Dostoevsky's The Idiot, directed by Eric Nightengale, as part of The New York International Fringe Festival - Fringe NYC, a production of The Present Company, from August 14 - 28, 2010 at Venue #3, The Kraine Theater, 85 E. 4th Street (Second Avenue & Bowery), NYC.

Michael Ritchie, Artistic Director of Center Theatre Group, has set the 2010-2011 season at CTG's Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City. The new season, which features three productions and four DouglasPlus presentations, will run from October 7, 2010, through August 28, 2011.

Producer Daryl Roth announces that following a sold out developmental run last spring, THE DIVINE SISTER, the new comedy written by and starring Charles Busch, directed by Carl Andress, will transfer to the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street) featuring the entire original company: Alison Fraser, Amy Rutberg, Jennifer Van Dyck, Jonathan Walker, and Julie Halston.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast Premiere of Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro's The Last Romance. Old Globe Associate Artist and television icon Marion Ross will star with her longtime partner Paul Michael in the new romantic comedy which was written for them by DiPietro.

'The Lieutenant of Inishmore,' the strikingly original black comedy by Academy Award-winning, Olivier Award-winning and Tony Award-nominated Martin McDonagh, opens at the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum at the Los Angeles Music Center on Sunday, July 11 at 7 p.m. Previews are underway and performances continue through August 8, 2010.

Profiles Theatre concludes its 2009-2010 Season with the Midwest premiere of Body Awareness by Annie Baker, directed by Benjamin Thiem. The production runs May 14 - June 27, 2010, at Profiles Theatre, 4147 N. Broadway. Opening night is Thursday, May 20, 2010, at 8:00 p.m.
