Albert Schultz, Founding Artistic Director of Soulpepper Theatre Company, today announced the second offering of the company's Lab Series - Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard. Soulpepper's Lab Series provides the company's artists and audience an opportunity to share in the creative process by experiencing together various approaches to theatrical storytelling.

BLOW by BLOW, a new play by Jean Bergantini Grillo based on the spirited life and tragic death of British style icon Isabella Blow, has been selected to premiere at next month's 11th Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival. Performances are set for Wednesday, July 21, at 6 pm; Saturday, July 24, at 7 pm; and Sunday, July 25, at 1 pm, at the Jewel Box Theatre, 130 W. 29th Street. The Boomerang Theatre Company (Tim Errickson, Artistic Director; Sue Abbott, Managing Director) will include new productions of plays by Anton Chekhov, Shakespeare, Christopher Fry, as well as a world premiere production and new play development in their 2010 season. The season begins with the FIRST FLIGHT new play festival, followed by an outdoor production of THE TEMPEST in June and July, and concludes with the company's annual three play rotating rep series in September.

St. Louis Shakespeare begins its' 26th season in July with THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, followed by Jane Martin's ANTON IN SHOW BUSINESS in August and THE TEMPEST in October, at the Grandel Theatre in the Grand Center Arts District. In March, SLS returns with CYRANO DE BERGERAC, presented at the Missouri History Museum as part of their Performing Arts Series.
