Combine a dash of Hitchcockian mystery with pinch of Monty Python comedy and you get Off-Broadway's The 39 Steps. The show pulls a bit from all the genres including suspense, romance, and action, blending them all together in this impressive adaptation. Most impressive of all is the cast of four actors who, against all odds, breathlessly and hilariously reenact each of the characters, locations, and famous scenes in Hitchcock's 1935 film thriller. These miraculous four are John Behlmann (as Richard Hannay,) Cameron Folmar (as Man #2,) Jamie Jackson (as Man #1,) and Kate MacCluggage (as Annabella Schmidt/Pamela/Margaret.)

On June 21, New World Stages' THE 39 STEPS will begin a new performance schedule. The schedule is as follows: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 8:00PM; and Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday matinees at 3:00PM.

In celebration of the 39th performance in their new theater Off-Broadway, Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS is offering 39 tickets for $39 for every performance through Monday, May 31st.

Hitchcock is known as the Master of Suspense. This creative team have taken a suspenseful Hitchcock film (1935) and gone a giant step further to fashion a thoroughly entertaining, high comedy cinematic suspense yarn for the stage.

Dianne Pilkington, currently starring as Glinda in Wicked, will be appearing in The 39 Steps beginning April 26. The comedy will feature Pilkington in the roles of Annabella Schmidt, Pamela and Margaret. Joining her will be David Bark-Jones as Hannay, and Timothy Speyer and Jeremy Swift as Man 1 & 2.
