2013-14 Broadway Philadelphia Season to Launch Philly Debut of ONCE, 10/29

ONCE, winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical and winner of the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, will play the Academy of Music for a limited engagement from Tuesday, October 29- Sunday, November 10. The press opening is Tuesday, October 29 at 8 p.m.

Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research present A Panel Discussion in conjunction with the A.R.T. production of All The Way entitled All the Way: The Civil Rights Act from 1964 to Today, on Monday, September 23rd at 4:00 at the Loeb Drama Center, 64 Brattle Street, Cambridge. The panel is moderated by Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Alphonse Fletcher University Professor at Harvard University and Director of the W. E. B. Du Bois Institute, and includes panelists Peter J. Fernandez, Peniel E. Joseph, Timothy Patrick McCarthy, and Patricia Sullivan. The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are recommended.

They've Got Magic to Do: PIPPIN Now On Sale Through August 31, 2014

The producers of the 2013 Tony Award winning Best Revival of a Musical PIPPIN have announcedthat a new block of tickets have gone on sale and seats are now available for purchase through August 31, 2014. Roger O. Hirson and Stephen Schwartz's PIPPIN is directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus and features choreography by Tony Award nominee Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse and circus creation by Gypsy Snider of the Montreal-based circus company Les 7 doigts de la main (also known as 7 Fingers). PIPPIN is now playing at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University announced today that the run of Robert Schenkkan's new play All The Way, directed by Bill Rauch, is sold out. A limited number of standing room tickets will be sold on the day of each show - in person only and only one ticket per person - at the A.R.T. Ticket Services Office. There will be no standing room for previews, Opening Night, or the final performance. The production begins performances on September 13 and runs through Saturday, October 12.
