The celebrated fusion of performers will take place tonight, February 22, 8:30 p.m. and tomorrow, February 23, 4:00 p.m. at the Salvatore Capezio Theater.

Joffrey Ballet School, a world-renowned dance center offering the most versatile and highest quality training, will present a Winter Concert collaboration highlighting the schools' Jazz and Contemporary Trainees and the Joffrey Concert Group. The celebrated fusion of performers will take place February 22, 8:30 p.m. and February 23, 4:00 p.m. at the Salvatore Capezio Theater. The program will feature seven new and restaged works from legendary choreographers Jennifer Archibald, Donald Byrd, Daniel Gwirtzman, Brian McSween, Davis Robertson, Margo Sappington and Chet Walker.

The furor raised by Nashville country music superstar, Blake Shelton, when he complained that fans of older and more traditional sounding country music were not attending his concerts or buying his CD's, has a response. He publicly called them 'old farts and jackasses.' There has been a response all right, in Miami, Florida, of all places.

The 22nd annual MusiCares tribute gala took place on February 10th, honoring Paul McCartney. McCartney has been selected as the 2012 MusiCare Person of the Year in recognition of his artistic and philanthropic efforts. The star-studded tribute took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center's West Hall. The gala featureD a cocktail reception, silent auction, dinner, and concert of McCartney's music, played by a variety of guest musicians as well as McCartney himself. The annual event is held to raise funds and awareness of the Recording Academy's philanthropic wing, with proceeds benefitting MusicCares' emergency financial assistance and addiction recovery programs.
