Career Transition For Dancers will present The Third Annual "HEART & SOUL" Awards Luncheon Celebrating Dance on Broadway on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 11:30 am at Club Colette in Palm Beach, FL. Jane Powell legendary star of movies, stage and television will be the host.
This world famous musical group is made up of two groups of brothers: Nicolas and Andre Reyes, the sons of renowned flamenco artist Jose Reyes, and their cousins, Jacques, Maurice and Tonino Baliardo. They are the offspring of Spanish gypsy families that fled to France in the 1930s to escape Spain's Civil War. In 1987, The Gipsy Kings released their debut album which introduced the world to "rumba Gitano" - the sound of South American rhythm married to flamenco guitars. The Gipsy Kings have had a series of international hits, starting with the song "Bamboleo," but at heart they remain gypsies, the proud descendants of an ancient people who seduced the world with music and dance.

Twentieth Century Fox Television, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) announced today the winners for the "GLEE Give a Note" campaign - that started over 3 months ago - whereby 73 schools nationwide will receive grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 to help save struggling music programs. As the economy continues to stumble, school music and fine arts classes are the first to feel the impact with drastic budget cuts and elimination of departments. The "GLEE Give a Note" campaign aims to soften the blow, and reignite public passion for supporting student arts programs and the teachings they provide to students.
