Doolittle in its award-winning production of Lerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY, directed by Bartlett Sher, for a 16-week limited engagement beginning Tuesday, January 8 through Sunday, April 28, at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).
The Downriver Actors' Guild announced its 2018 2019 season on Saturday with a festive reception and teasers. The reception included heaps of shrimp cocktail, fresh hummus, and home-baked cookies. Each upcoming show was featured during the special event.

Theater lovers have the best of both worlds here in the Nutmeg State: Broadway is just down the road, but we never even have to leave home to see exceptional theater thanks to the bevy of professional theaters that call Connecticut home too. This season looks particularly exciting and I'll share with you what I am most looking forward to reviewing this fall. There are other great shows scheduled this fall as well as through the 2016 season, but in the interest of space, I will concentrate on top picks for this fall.

Last week, I spoke with Jacob Kemp, the young actor currently starring in the national tour of Disney's NEWSIES. In addition to the tour, Jacob has been featured in a recurring role on an ABC sitcom, and he admits that he's had a very exciting and successful year. From his hotel in Los Angeles, where NEWSIES was on tour at the time, Jacob dished about his life on the road, the exciting oppertunities he's found, and the joy of working with the famous creators of his current show.

The touring production of DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will play at Wolf Trap's Filene Center for five performances between Friday, June 6th and Sunday, June 8th. The family-friendly, live-action musical includes all the songs from the Broadway production and spectacular sets and costumes.
