The JCC Thurnauer School of Music, New Jersey's leading community music school, named a Major Arts Institution by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, has announced Steven Masi Performs Beethoven's 32 Piano Sonatas, a nine-part concert series presented over three seasons (three concerts per season) from 2011 to 2014.

In remembrance and renewal, THIRTEEN'S Great Performances will broadcast A Concert for New York, performed by the New York Philharmonic on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of 9/11, led by Music Director Alan Gilbert, taped the previous night at a free concert in Avery Fisher Hall at New York's Lincoln Center. The broadcast will be hosted by NBC News special correspondent and author Tom Brokaw.

PBS will commemorate the tenth anniversary of September 11th with a special series of new and encore programs leading up to and continuing beyond Sunday, September 11. Programs in news and public affairs, science, and the performing arts are planned as part of the remembrance. Beginning at 4:00 p.m. on September 11, the entire PBS schedule will be devoted to special programming.
