Handel + Haydn Society To Perform Complete Bach Brandenburg Concertos

Could there be a more perfect collection than the six concertos known as the Brandenburgs? The Handel and Haydn Society continues its 2017-18 Season with a program of the Bach Brandenburg Concertos Nos. 1-6 on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at Sanders Theatre in Cambridge, MA followed by performances on Saturday, February 17 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 3:00 p.m., both at Jordan Hall in Boston.  Saturday's performance was added to the schedule due to strong popular for the Friday and Sunday performances.

Celebrity Series of Boston Announces 2015-16 Season

?The Celebrity Series of Boston announced its 2015-2016 season today, marking 77 years of bringing the world's greatest performing artists to Boston. The season opens on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 with author and speaker David Sedaris. In total, the 2015-2016 season will include 48 music, dance and entertainment engagements. The 2015-16 season is sponsored by Amy and Joshua Boger.

At a standing-room-only affair at Sanders Theatre, Longy School of Music of Bard College presented their second annual Sistema Side by Side Celebration on Friday, March 20, under the baton of the orchestra's newly appointed Music Director Jorge Soto. The evening was part of an ongoing series of events at Longy that pairs students (aged 8-14) from El Sistema-inspired music programs throughout Massachusetts with members of the Longy Conservatory Orchestra in rehearsals and performances featuring nationally renowned conductors and guest artists.
