Many will be vehemently opposed to the theme of Joanna Murray-Smith's The Gift, for it concerns undoing primary parental obligation. It is forgivable when an artist sometimes allows his livelihood to take precedence over his parental duties, but to negate them is nothing short of immoral/criminal. Murray-Smith toys with where an artist's loyalties should lie in an unpredictable comedy/drama that will leave audience discussing the subject matter long after they leave the theatre. Isn't that what good theatre is meant to do? In its US premiere at the Geffen, The Gift cannot, should not be dismissed.

ESPN2's two-hour weekday morning live debate show, First Take, will add an additional live half-hour afternoon show beginning on Thursday, February 7, featuring featured commentators Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith, along with host Cari Champion. The half-hour shows that will start airing on ESPN at 3:30pm ET on Thursday, February 7, will be in addition to the two-hour morning shows that air Monday through Friday from 10:00am - 12:00pm ET on ESPN2. In addition to ranking as the No. 1 late-night show on Thursday (1/24/13) in both Households (2.92 rating) and Adults 18-49 (1.23 rating) in Nielsen's 56 Metered Markets, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" also saw huge gains across digital platforms, topping all four late-night competitors in total tweets and unique users. Last night's episode generated more tweets than any other episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on record, up more than 230% above average.
